2. TessaPrep
Tessa International School in Hoboken runs a language immersions afterschool program, called TessaPrep. The program offers language immersion in Mandarin, Spanish, and French for children ages three to eight.
Students are taught listening and speaking skills, and an introduction to writing through games, songs, and other cultural activities.
TessaPrep classes are held from Monday to Saturday. Students attend classes for an hour and a half, twice a week.
David Branch Jiu-Jitsu in Hoboken offers after-school Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for children ages four and up. Classes are divided by age group: children ages four to seven take one class, and children ages eight and up are grouped in another.
David Branch Jiu-Jitsu is part of the Tessa International School's enrichment program. Therefore, students of the Tessa International School may sign up for classes with David Branch Jiu Jitsu as part of their standard weekly education.
Rocket Club Academy is an afterschool certificate program offered both virtually and in-person in Hoboken for children ages seven to fourteen. At Rocket Club Academy, children learn about robotics, STEAM, coding, and entrepreneurship.
Each month, Rocket Club Academy teaches a new topic. Topics include the stock market, coding, data science, Fintech, and cryptocurrency.
In their first month at Rocket Club Academy, students learn entrepreneurship and graphic design skills and launch their own clothing brand.
