Hi there, I'm Shalisia, and I'm the Director of Human Resources at Playday!

I found my way to Playday in 2017!

After being accepted to art universities like Parsons and Pratt, I instead studied Psychology with a minor in Religions at Hunter College whilst continuing my art practice. Throughout my college years, I taught part time as an art instructor at Playday. It is through Playday that I not only found my voice as an art instructor, but was inspired to become a certified yoga instructor as well as experiment more within my own art practice. Over time, I was offered and accepted the opportunities to manage the studio of Playday Hoboken and then Playday Cobble Hill. Here today, as Director of HR, I remain fully committed to aiding in providing a safe, respectful, inclusive space that celebrates creative exploration in the funnest ways! It is a joy helping to bring more passionate creatives to Playday who I am sure will continue to leave a long lasting positive impact on not just all children but the entire Playday team!

When not at Playday, one may find me exploring the city, cooking a new healthy dish, and spending time with my loved ones!
