I have been drawing since I could hold a crayon at the age of 3. In my teenage years, I discovered the world of Japanese Manga and Anime. I knew I wanted to draw and publish my own manga and make great art for the rest of my life. I immediately made a portfolio and applied to the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. I now have a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Cartooning from SVA. I have also studied Directing and Animation at SVA. Soon after graduating I earned a position teaching Manga (Japanese Comics), Anime (Japanese Animation), Cartooning and Card Game Design at the NEST+M school in the Lower East Side in Manhattan. I taught there for 3 years and then I taught Cartooning and Drawing People at the IS 78 Q middle school.

In each class I assist my students with anything they want to learn how to draw. I try to make each class fun and make it different from the last class. I love teaching by example and sharing my story, art and books with my students so they can believe that their dreams are possible as long as they continue to work hard and pursue them every day.
