Ah, a good hunt. Nature's game of hide and seek. I remember one of my first
hunts.
It was early morning and the mist cascaded down the hill in front of me and
poured out onto the open field. I had been sitting in the same spot for over
3 hours now, waiting patiently for my target.
All of a sudden, a deer sprung onto the field in front of me, a glorious three
pointer. A few more deer exploded from the bushes on my left. At last, I spotted
the animal that I was waiting for. He was rounding up the does, when he stopped,
paused, lifted his nose high in the air and began to show signs of tension.
I knew there was only a few seconds before all of them bolted out of sight.
I aimed, fired and anchored him in his tracks.
Today was my day and I had come out a winner.
